Do we need to worry about cyber security while working from home?

If we work in an office, we will of course be thinking about cyber security – such as keeping an eye out for suspicious emails. And this is a really important thing to do. But – especially if you work in a larger organisation, there might not be too much more to think about. You might have an IT team who are responsible for keeping your device updated, and making sure you have a safe internet connection.

Is this the same when we work from home though?

Well, when working from home, there are some key differences in our cyber set up that mean we can be vulnerable to cyber attacks.

One big difference is that IT team. When we’re in the office, we’re likely to have someone looking after lots of things for us. But they can’t do that as easily when we’re at home.
